Brad was Chairman of the Transport Sector Education and Training Authority and founder of the Warehousing & Distribution Employers Association. He describes himself as driven, tenacious and humble. In his spare time, he enjoys wildlife photography and hiking.
Danie van Aswegen
Danie van Aswegen, a charted accountant fuelled by integrity, curiosity and compassion, started his career as regional financial manager at one of the largest retailers in Africa. He has worked in various industries from manufacturing to engineering and advertising in senior finance positions.
Danie joined PRIMEDIA in July 2014 in the capacity of Chief Operational Officer of PRIMEDIA Unlimited Malls, but soon ventured into the commercial side where he applied his skills to broker win-win solutions for both the Mall Division and its business partners. Danie loves spending time with family and friends in between cycling, golf, reading, carpentry and DIY.

Leonie Scheepers, senior Centre Manager of Walmer Park Shopping Centre in Port Elizabeth has 27 years’ experience in the Shopping Centre Industry. From starting her career as a PR & Marketing Manager in a shopping centre in 1992 which involved most aspects of a shopping centre, including project managing development.
Her love for the shopping centre environment- not only being a passionate shopper, has allowed her to develop her skills and remain passionate about the industry and retail environment, especially the marketing aspects of a shopping centre. She enjoys nothing more than reading, watching crime and investigation programmes and walking in the fresh air.
Chief Cook at The Kitchen Sink, Linett e Imrie, has 20 years’ experience in the shopping centre marketing industry. She has been actively involved in the marketing of over 100 shopping centres, with 50 launches and re-launches ranging from small community to Super Regional Shopping Centres.
She has a flair for strategic thinking and “never before seen campaign ideas”. She focuses on balanced strategies, taking each centre’s unique needs into consideration. Linett e has also created two new terms, being “Culturalative” and “Communitive,” distinctive to the shopping centre industry.
Lizanne has 30 years’ experience in retail marketing. She began her career in leading national fashion retailer Truworths, after which she started her own advertising agency, Mustard Seed Marketing, and started specialising in the marketing of shopping centres.

Maia has more than 12 years’ experience in the shopping centre marketing industry and more than 25 years in the creative industry. Her defining moment working in the marketing industry was conceptualising and coordinating international movie activations.

Sheree McHaffie has a great love and passion for strategic and brand marketing, she has 24 years’ extensive experience in the retail property industry.
She has marketed some of the most prominent centres. Sheree was a member of the Central Johannesburg Partnership, Sandton Central, the Sandton Tourism Association, and the Rosebank Management District where she assisted with developing both brand and nodal marketing campaigns.
After 20 good years in the property industry, Vuso has gained extensive experience in property and asset management and heads up the retail portfolio under Fortress’ ownership.
